I couldn't help but take more photos with my SX-70 yesterday. I bought these tulips at the Sunday market--I can't get over how simply beautiful they are. Pretty photogenic, eh?*
love,
p. ahn
*I found myself using the word "eh" ever since my songwriting session with one of singer/songwriter's best,
Ron Sexsmith, in Toronto.
love the quality of the photos and love your music!!!
ReplyDeleteso pretty :)
ReplyDeleteThat camera has such a gnarly effect... I like how it works with the sort of semi-sad imperfectness of the flowers. I'm gonna see if I can one on ebay for myself. :-)
ReplyDeleteso cute!! these tulips remind me to appreciate the small things, especially the beauty of nature. Even though it's a simple post, thank you for sharing priscila! <3
ReplyDeleteOooo.. love the soft focus and tone of the sx-70 shots. didn't know you can still get film for that.
ReplyDeletemost definately : ) ... and i for some reason loLove saying 'eh', weather in question form, in used when im in agreement. I dont even really know people from Canada. just on a Canada kick right now for some reason
ReplyDeleteanother good reason to move to the Netherlands... ;) Lotta tulips here.
ReplyDeleteSo delicate. And beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to write a song with the line "No tulips are as sweet as your two lips" or something like that, but I can never write it to not sound cheesy. Maybe next songwriting session y'all can suss that out a bit, eh? (<--word culture clash)
ReplyDeleteThose are such dreamy pictures! I love them and I love your music. :)
ReplyDeletethey r beautiful lyk an old movie scene
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I love the soft hughes a Polaroid makes. I am o excited to have found your blog. I have been listening to your music for ages via myspace... maybe six plus years? I don't know anymore. Anyways, you blog is delightful. You seem real, which makes me love your music even more. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeletep.s. I am doing a giveaway on my blog for Peruvian feather earrings. I have been traveling in South America and wanted to share the love! My blog is itssimplelove.blogspot.com if you care to take a peak.

Hi Priscilla,
ReplyDeleteNice blog! I just came across it. I want to tell you how much I love your music. I heard your song "A Dream" on CBC about a year ago (I think) and it meant the world to me.
Thanks so much for sharing your gift.
Ellie
Nice Photos!
ReplyDeleteI think that you liked the vintage filters :P
I told you sometime that I want to marry you? ahhahaha it's a joke ... but ... Think about it
greetings!
I love your photos, makes me want to dabble with polaroids too! It definitely has a certain qualia to it that seems difficult to replicate with digital but possibly even more instantly gratifying that digital could be, eh? :o)
ReplyDeleteMy Canadian friends tell me it's more like an elongated a, rather than eh. Either way, it confuses me greatly when they start using it as a matter of course.
More photos please! :o)
