the aftermath

Thank you all for your beautiful and supportive comments! I read thru them with my husband (a new word I'm starting to get used to!) and we really felt the love. Thank you so much!

And sorry... I've decided to not post any wedding photos, simply because of how many other random people can see them. I would love to share the photos with all of my blog readers, but as far as I know, there's no real way to control who could see them on the web. It never really dawned on me until one day my name popped up on google images, and I saw that random photos that I would put on myspace or facebook or on my blog would show up there. Something I didn't realize was a consequence of posting any pictures, anywhere on the web. Sorry to let some of you down! I really would love for you to see them!

And since being married, life has been a whirlwind. Seems like we used up all of our good luck in making the wedding happen, and came back home to a list of bad luck, hehe. So we've had our hands full trying to deal with everything, one day at a time, and on top of that, trying to celebrate with friends and family here and there. And then I was without internet for a week (Screw you AT&T). I finally canceled AT&T and am with someone else, and I am soooooooooo happy!

Been writing with friends, and still on the hunt for a producer for album #2 which is long over due!!! I'm very excited about the new songs though!

And so, I leave you with this music video that is super "kawaii". I know, it's random. But it made me smile. :)

  1. How did I miss your wedding post???

Maybe it's because I was traveling a lot last month...

But nonetheless-- congratulations! I'm sure you made a beautiful bride. :]

  2. :) :) :) Congratulations! You bring a lot of joy into my life with your music and I am so happy for you. Good luck with your whirlwind of things to do and best wishes! --Eleanor

  3. "Husband"... so weird... but it's wonderful that you both are happy :)
i can't wait for new album...

  4. hi priscilla! it's kyoko(from Japan).
i've been following you on twitter for a while and got this blog entry.
so you got married! omedeto--- to you and michael!!!
read your wedding report. life is like a film, they say...but you can really make a film out of it! wow.
i wish your new married life will be filled with more rainbows, gardenias, parasols, friends, smiles and kisses.
    talk to you again.
    kyoko (yasu said hello, too!)

  5. Dear Priscilla,

Thank you for addressing and explaining the exclusion of your Wedding photos from your blog.

I'm sure many of your well-wishers/fans/followers share some disappointment, but YOUR well-being and privacy are paramount.

I continue to look forward to your second full length album ,or anything else that is forthcoming. (Have you thought of releasing some demo versions via, say,iTunes?)

May you and Mike continue to share health and happiness!

    Peace and love,

  6. it never occured to me that a wedding could happen as spontaneous as that. probably because i'm still young and i haven't felt sure of anyone yet. even myself.

  7. No worries! The first little while can be a little hectic with all the family and friends wanting to see you and to share and celebrate this wonderful time with you, not to mention the excitement you both are feeling. Sit back, enjoy it, and take it all in! Congratulations and all the best to you in the years to come!

  8. That clip is so adorable, even though I don't understand a word.
Don't worry about not sharing wedding pictures, some things just have to be kept private. I'm thankful you let us see a glimpse of your life & thrilled when you shared your special day with us.
Hope your luck turn around for the better. Enjoy your married life & so long as you & your hubby are happy together, that's all that matters.

Can't wait to hear more about the making of your 2nd album and very excited to hear your new songs.

  9. Too bad about the pictures, I bet the wedding was beautiful.

Who are you with for internet now? I hate my AT&T too!

  10. Aww, now you made me watch all those other videos they made, haha. Congratulations on your marriage, enjoy it :)
You made me super excited when mentioning a 2nd album, I loved your first one. I hope you'll visit The Netherlands again some day, sadly I didn't see you play at North Sea Jazz last year, because I didn't yet know of you and your awesome music. So I was at another stage watching Hiromi :p

    Take care,

  11. I don't know of any really good record producers -- with the possible exception of Sufjan Stevens: you can really hear his influence in Sold to the Nice Rich Man by The Welcome Wagon... too bad he's not really a professional producer. (Just thought I'd throw that out because last time I mentioned Andrew Bird and got an awesome Cass McCombs cover with you guys :-P ).

Oh, and congrats on the wedding (and leaving AT&T)!

  12. Hello...
    Priscilla Ahn ....
    프리실라 앞날에 내내,한결같이
    사랑과 승리의 나날이 되시길 바랍니다...
    from your fan...

  13. Really, congratulations! It sounds like things are going great for you! (:

  14. haha... thanks for sharing the video. i hope you get your goodluckmojo back soon. :)

  15. very nice pictures! im a fan of photographie also!

anyway, i just wanted to tell you how relieving and just plain soothing your music is. i recently auditioned for the show Hairspray and (i think) my audition went pretty good, but when my callback came everything went wrong and i screwed everything up. when the cast list came up this morning, i found myself very disappointed in myself because of my place in the show. to help it, i listened to your music all morning and im now feeling a lot better about it, so thank you! :)

P.S. sorry for writing so much!

  16. I've been following you since 2007 when you released your first EP and I'm still just as crazy about you as I was then. Thanks so much for your music! The guy who is married to you is sooooo lukcy and I'm jealous. I can't wait for the second album, I'm sure it'll blow my mind like the first one did. Thank you again to my favorite musician.

  17. Hey Priscilla!
I just wanted to let you know that I came to Japan to visit my relatives this summer, and bought your CD over here :) I absolutely adore your music so I insisted on listening to it in the car~ my paternal grandma (or Obachan as I like to call her) was so soothed, when I peeked over to the passenger seat, I found her fast asleep with a goofy grin on her face! I also couldn`t help but share your music with my maternal grandparents, aunt, and cousin as well. They all think your voice is angelic! In fact, just the other day when I came back from a walk around town, I heard "Dream" floating through the air. I opened the door to find my Baba and Jiji sitting on the couch together listening to your CD! :D
We all love you and hope you keep continuing to touch the lives of many :)
You are such a brilliantly rare light, beautiful inside and out, and I can`t wait to hear more!
    Much love ^-^
